Originally, the goal of the organizers was to offer young French hockey players a big end-of-season party, as was the case with the 1989 Senior Seniors Trophy.
The 3 vs 3 hockey format was chosen for the first edition of the tournament in 1991 and proved to be perfectly adapted to youngest children, a smaller playing area (divided ice rink) allowing young hockey players to better highlight their technical qualities. . This formula has the advantage on the other hand to offer a real show.
3 meetings taking place simultaneously, the events of joy are permanent and provide a real party atmosphere around the rinks for the duration of the tournament.
The teams are composed from 7 to 10 joueurs maximum (with goalie(s)).
Have 3 meeting in same time.
Matchs are played 3 vs 3 (+ goalie). The change of line is done every 2 minutes. The duration of a match is 2 times 10 minutes.
The penalty replaces the jail.
